Jack the Dipper Not as fun as the original shop on 107, but still good ice cream. Wide selection of flavors, waffle cones made to order (still warm!). Located right near the movie theatre.
Miss it Is this place still there? I LOVED going there when I was at Western. There was just something about eating an awesome hand dipped cone while sitting on the picnic benches and looking at the river.
RecommendedThis Place is Great! So many flavors to choose from! Great quantity on the sizes. I bought 1 pint of the Lil' Blue Panda ice cream. And had to get a brownie batter shake to try! Being first time visitor in the area and at Jack the Dipper couldn't just leave with one flavor! Both worth the buy! Customer Service was also friendly and excellent! Definitely be back when in the area again!
Closes at 9 when their website says 10 because they are scared of the retard Roy Cooper over the flu. Will never return to the sheep yard

Best homemade waffle cones ever! Warm and add ice cream.
I love Jack the Dipper! This is a great place to go for your ice cream fix and especially if you love waffle cones. However, they are not the most vegan friendly place so I’m sad that I can’t really enjoy frozen treats there anymore since becoming vegan. I hope that one day they’ll at least have a vegan vanilla ice cream or something because lemon sorbet just isn’t the same.
