About this business
Emerging from the alcoholic waves of post-Prohibition activity, Jack Fry's tavern opened up way back in 1933. Mr. Fry closed the original incarnation of the restaurant in 1972 and it changed hands for a few years until it re-opened with the same moniker in 1987. The new owner (a former waitress at old Jack's) still pays homage to the man with his old horse racing pictures and other sports memorabilia hanging on the walls. I had some of the best shrimp and grits as my appetizer. I’m a Carolina girl so I know good shrimp and grits. I give them 2 👍🏽 up! The salmon was my entree and was melt in your mouth amazing. The creme Carmel was divine. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
I ate there just moments ago with a friend of mine. I asked the server for her recommendations, she gave me one, and it was phenomenal! Ashley was our server and she did an absolutely amazing job. She was polite, friendly, professional, conversational, knew the menu exceedingly well, and she made me want to order every dish that she described. I can’t say enough good things about her.

Wrarm brie salad is a must! Ask for the white beans with parmesan and prosciutto on the side and its a it will be a meal made in heaven. Cocktails are fabulously delicious!
