I had my surgery in 2005 done by Dr Houten. The results were excellent Now it's 2019.
Dr. Choueka is who you hope your doctor could be. Professional, caring, kind, and thoughtful are just some of the ways Dr. Choueka approaches medicine. I wish he could be my doctor for everything!
I was referred to Dr Choueka and had to travel to see him. Well worth the trip! He gave me a very complete examination of my shoulder pain and then suggested a great course of action. He treated the problem aggressively and was very thoughtful about my options. He even called my radiologist to discuss the problem. Don’t see anyone else for shoulder pain!

He didn’t allow me to talk. He kept yelling that I should speak to the point. He cut me open while the door was open. Has no bedside manners.
Dr. Choueka was thorough and compassionate when my kid was injured. The center is friendly and very comfortable. His staff was extremely helpful and Dr. Choueka was knowledgeable, and very gently with my child. He did an awesome job taking care of my family. I would highly recommend

I went to Dr Houten for a 2nd opionion about having an L4 L5 spinal fusion. I felt very comfortable with everything that he explained to me and that the surgery was necessary. At the moment I decided to let Dr. H do the surgery. It is 1 yr ago I had the surgery and I an pain free. I was at a point where I didnt care if I got 50% relief as long as some pain was gone. But I am one of the luckiest people to say I live a normal life now. Ty, Drr H and Maimondies hosp. For taking great care of me.
