Had Reservations. Jacala's had to set up tables for 20 plus. The food would of been good but it was cold. Service was at best poor. At first we had one waiter. He took the first drink order and did not return for 30 minutes. Then another waiter for the food order that took over 30 minutes to order. They have so many things in here worth going in here for. This is a perfect place for a small party. They pretty much have everything that you may need if you want Mexican.

YESTERDAY,I TOOK MY KIDS TO EAT @JACALA MEXICAN RESTAURANT....IT WAS A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.....THE WAIT STAFF THREW THE STRAWS ON THE TABLE, &HE WAS RUSHING US TO PLACE AN ORDER THE MENU WAS A LITTLE PRICEY AND THE FOOD WAS GREASY AND NASTY,THE HAMBURGER MEAT IN THE TACOS... This restaurant was in the ghetto ! The bathrooms were disgusting . And the food was gross ! The lady at the register didn't even say thank you and had a BAD ATTITUDE ... Don't waste your money on this place ....

Nothing special - Terrible service – This USED TO BE a family favorite restaurant for years but the food is now just "EH". Jacala's has ordinary everyday Mexican food you can get at any of the 100s of other Mexican restaurants in this city. The margaritas are so-so & overpriced. We had a large group for dinner - as it's a favorite place for the guest of honor but I hope I never have to go back there again. Rude and Very Unprofessional On The Phone – Hi: My Husband just returned from Iraq. He wanted some good Tex Mex. Looked to City Search as we normally do. Found Jacala's phone number called to ask questions about menu and pricing. Lady who answered the phone around 4:15PM or so, was rude and not very friendly. Best Tex-Mex EVER!! – I grew up in San Antonio and throughout my lifetime have lived all over the world; but when I come home to Texas I have to have my Jacala. Jacala has been in business since 1949 and their food and service has ALWAYS been consistently great!! You will not find a better plate of Tex-Mex anywhere in the world. I assure you!!
