In the fall of 1976 Jim Pierce began attending Lewis and Clark State College in Lewiston, Idaho, to receive a degree in Applied Science of Major Appliance and Business. Early 1977 we began a free appliance removal service, and began reconditioning these appliances for resale, to help support our family during the two years Jim was in college. I believe the true test of any Company is when things go wrong. We had a Speed Queen washer that needed warranty repair. J & S repaired the washer, but at pick up the Manager, (I think) asked I NOT bring my business back to J & S. He said it was because I had dropped off the washer on a Sunday. I was speechless... perhaps it was because I had purchased the washer at another store? One thing for sure, I will honor his request. One of the worst Customer Service experiences I have ever had.
we think you guys are about the best furniture store we have ever delt with and we are old so we have dealt with a lot....
