We stopped here on our way to Gulf Shores, AL (driving from MO). My family is from AL so I’ve had my fair share of good bbq. The ribs here were hands down the best I’ve ever eaten, so juicy & tender & covered in sauce. The homemade Mac & cheese beat my southern raised mother’s home made Mac & cheese. Homemade cobblers too. J Rodgers will not disappoint. If you’re a bbq fan this is a must try

Best Soul Food/Rib restaurant im South Alabama period (arguably all of Alabama). There’s nothing I don’t like. The fried ribs are the truth, the smoked ribs fall off the bone, the smoked chicken wings are amazing, the collard greens, the Mac and cheese...everything! Last but not least...they should be arrested for the Peach Cobbler because it’s so addicting!
Love their food. Yummy Friendly service too! Barbecue ribs are so tender Melt in your mouth . Potato salad is some of the best in town . Banana pudding oh my goodness😁
