RecommendedI absolutely love this place. Very warm feeling and you know you’re in that spot to eat when you see the owner cooking your food. A lot of memorabilia on walls to show you the history and all the celebrities that’s come in there. I highly suggest this place.

Good down home smoked BBQ ribs, chicken, sausage, fried fish, fried chicken, peach cobbler, banana pudding, collard greens, field peas, corn bread. All on the lunch buffet. But unlike most lunch buffets you can tell time and love went into smoking, cooking, and baking this food. Very good. And the staff was very friendly and attentive. True Southern Hospitality.
RecommendedWe stopped here on our way to Gulf Shores, AL (driving from MO). My family is from AL so I’ve had my fair share of good bbq. The ribs here were hands down the best I’ve ever eaten, so juicy & tender & covered in sauce. The homemade Mac & cheese beat my southern raised mother’s home made Mac & cheese. Homemade cobblers too. J Rodgers will not disappoint. If you’re a bbq fan this is a must try
