I recently visited J David on S. Peoria Ave to have some links removed from my watch. From the moment I walked in the energy was pleasant. Julia greeted me immediately! I told her what I needed and she provided me information. At the time Michael was at lunch, because he would be the one to assist me. I had such a great experience with this jeweler! Specifically, Michael Fischer! They restored several of my silver pieces, and I honestly didn’t expect them to come back looking this beautiful. Everything was cleaned, polished, and brought back to life while still preserving the original character. What really stood out to me, though, is how they’ve helped me reimagine some older jewelry into something new. Outstanding support and service by Michael, who repaired and polished some heirloom garnet earrings. His knowledgeable care and support earned my trust, and his outstanding gentlemanly behavior is worth mentioning. He graciously escorted my mother to her car under his umbrella to ensure she did not get wet in a downpour. The craftsmanship of the items in the store is unique and impeccable, and outperformed only by the excellent service and kindness of the proprietor and employees. We will be back.
After years of not wearing my wedding ring, I brought it in to be resized just in time for our 30th wedding anniversary. Giulia, Michael and Scott were so wonderful to work with and entrust my ring to. They were so kind, efficient and did a great job of explaining everything that went into resizing my ring and fixing the prongs that needed care. They also made it SPARKLE for pickup!!! I would definitely recommend them for any jewelry needs and for any new purchases! The store has ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL jewelry!!!
As always, the staff were all friendly & accommodating. My legacy ring had a break in it and they quickly assessed the damage & recommended the best option for repair. They called me a few days later to say that the jeweler repairing it recommended having the tips replaced as well. I approved that as well. The ring looks like new & will probably last another 100 years. My experiences at this store have always been positive.
