I just had this food. It is hard (if not impossible) to get decent Chinese food outside Chinatown. This is just another run of the mill chinese restaurants that should be put out of its misery. The people that own it are not even chinese-- would you eat at an Italian or French restaurant owned by Chinese? Just feel like I paid a lot for not so good food. I am sure they mean well, but the cook who is Chinese needs to go back to China to learn how to cook. To be fair-- most Chinese food in South Philly sucks
J C Chinese Restaurant is Good gone Wrong Years ago I used to order from JC's it was one of the best for Chinese food. Last evening my children and I wanted the taste of good chinese food so we fore go our ordinary takeout place and ordered take out from JC.The food was horrible. I paid $35 for 3 containers of food we could barely recognize. Chinese in South Philly A chinese resturant and bar in south philadelphia? Yes, and it is pretty good. I've been coming here since the late 60s. Good in a pinch if you don't want to drive up to China town. Boneless Fried Chicken is my favorite here.
