The main aim of J.Alexander's Denver is to provide excellent dining experience to its customers. There is no compromise on the quality of food or the service. The chef makes sure to use fresh and quality products to provide finger-licking meals; the ribs are highly recommended. The wine list features Merlot, Riesling, and other varietals. Seating is fuss-free and relaxing. As for the dessert, try not to miss the carrot cake.

Busy place. Great food. Great staff.
What happened? It use to be that I looked forward to dinner at J's. Now I will never go back. I've been a faithful patron for over 10 years. I would routinely take family and business guess there. Now the place is a taco and hamburger joint with little flair and much disappointment. The portions if you haven't notice are smaller and barely adequate. The service now is in tune with McDonalds who also sells hamburgers. Who ever made the change it was all about ruining a truly great restaurant. Mission accomplished!
Haven't been there for a while, but this has always been a full- priced excellent restaurant. Personally I think Outback is a better value but this is at least a 4 star restaurant. Great items on the menu and it has never failed to please. Great waitstaff also.
Most over priced restaurant for the quality and quantity that I've been to. My family went here on a whim and with the waiting line, I assumed it was great quality. Must mainly be a place to impress your rich friends who only care to be "seen". Although the gin and tonic drinks were good, they also cost $8 each. No sides are included for the rich price of a dish ($25 for a very small cut of prime rib; $20 for roasted chicken). Only mashed potatoes (no choice) included with the meat. Extra sides are $5 a shot (i.e., salad). T... read more
Great Food, Service and Atmosphere! – My husband and I celebrated our Anniversary here per a recommendation. We were not disappointed. The service, food and atmosphere were excellent. We had appetizers, salad, steak, scallops and several side dishes. The portions were all large and all very flavorful. Oh did I mention the Carrot Cake we had for Dessert? Words cannot describe it! Yummmmmmm! We will be back.
Best Steak In Denver - Or Anywhere! – Be sure to order the filet mignon, and tell them you want it with the Maitre' d butter on it - I believe they took that off the menu but they definitely still serve it that way, only way to go! Get the caesar salad, loaded baked potato, and a Long Island Iced Tea, and say hello to Heaven on Earth! J's truly is the best, and I know, I tried a pile of them! Seriously, went one month on a "try to beat J's steak" expedition, and gave up after deciding that none were in J's league, not at all... read more
Good Food, Nice Atmosphere, Good Service, Large portions – I went there with my husband and another couple. Although the menu was not extensive, there was something for everyone. The food was delicious and the portions were large. The service was excellent and we did not feel rushed at all. This was a great place to enjoy dinner, relax, and catch up with friends. I definately will return.
Great food! – I eat at this restaurant a few times a week for dinner. The service is great, and the prices are modest for how good the food is. I usually get the cheeseburger and it is awesome. Mr. Jack's Chicken Finger Platter is also amazing... far and away the best chicken fingers I've ever had. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a very solid meal.
Best Steak, Awesome Atmosphere! – J's filet mignon topped with maitre d' garlic butter is far and away the best in Denver! The wood grilled flavor is out of this world, I promise! Get a loaded baked potato (that will be perfect), a Caesar salad that comes in a chilled bowl (I recommend ordering with a lighter amt of dressing), and a good Long Island Iced Tea, and find Heaven on Earth, trust me! I once went on a "filet finding" expedition, bent to find a better one, just for curiosity - didn't happen. I tried: Morton's, Ruth'... read more
