Set in a beautiful location with great options for both groomed cross country skiing and excellent areas close-by in Glacier National Park for backcountry ski and snowshoe tours. Mark, the guide at Izzak Walton, is very knowledgeable and able to customize a tour to any ski level.
A wonderful place to spend time during any season. I don't want to leave!
I give the inn ten or fifteen stars. Marvelous place to visit. A railfans paradise. The beauty of nature is an added benefit and I can't forget the delicious meals. I miss listening to the waiting helpers and passing trains.
We just spent 3 days at the Izaak Walton Inn, it was a winter wonderland! A wonderful retreat for my wife and I. Will Steck and his staff provided wonderful service. We loved watching the trains go by, and the sites and sounds reminded us of days gone by. The rustic Inn with its radiator steam heat and real wood fireplace kept us warm and cozy. Chef Adam Sundin's offerings were AMAZING! it would be worth the drive to Essex Montana just for the food. We will be back, the scenery is amazing, and the train ride to get there was... read more
