One of many offshoots of the original Ivar's Acres of Clams, the Salmon House represents the Seattle institution's attempt at contemporary dining. Located in a replica Indian longhouse, the restaurant features salmon and meats alder-smoked on the open-pit Indian-style barbecue. The chef does best with straightforward seafood preparations. RecommendedGreat food served in a comfortably relaxed setting that recreates a northwest native longhouse or to take away from a walk up window. We like the "happy hour" menu (from 3PM) in the bar lounge area, especially the grilled salmon on a Caesar salad. Friendly servers and great views make it satisfying experience every time.
Place was a very busy the staff all work together as a team and made it a great dining experience. The view of the water was fabulous. The food was also very very delicious
