This neat ice cream parlor serves homemade ice cream in the Historic Haymarket district. The black-and-white tiles, cafe tables and antique light fixtures in the parlor are starting to show their age. But since a line of customers always stretches out the door of the Creamery building and into the street, nobody sees them anyway. First time visiting, and was thoroughly impressed! The staff were very friendly, helpful and were in good spirits. Husband and son both opted for the sweet cream dips while I chose a phosphate drink in cherry/vanilla flavor. Yumm! Only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because they only accept cash. You can't use credit card. But we will definitely be returning the next time we're in town!

After a savory dinner we had a hankering for something sweet. Had cinnamon and some oatmeal bourbon. Both very delicious! Gotta go back and try some more flavors.
