I had initially rated CAPS 7 years ago. I just graduated last year and had been a client at CAPS for about 5 years (I was out of state for 2 years so I couldn’t get services then) which is almost my entire time at IUPUI. My clinician was a perfect match for me from the get-go and I was incredibly lucky to have been matched to him. He helped me through all the most difficult times of my life - divorce, emotional abuse, and suicidal ideations just to name a few. The clinicians I have worked with at CAPS were respectful of me and showed genuine interest in my recovery process when dealing with the challenges of life, work, and college at the same time. After having had an incident with a bad clinician at Indy Counseling Professionals, I was blessed to get the exact opposite experience at CAPS when I returned to IUPUI to finish my degree a few months after.
