I would not recommend for epilepsy care under any circumstances. I was sent by my neurologist to investigate possible focal seizures. I was already diagnosed with generalized absence seizures and had been treated with AEDs that I was responding to for 5 years. First appointment they made it apparent my diagnosis was irrelevant and all patients being referred are evaluated as "not having epilepsy" until proven otherwise. 8 years at this facility, zero answers. If it’s not “lose weight or somatic”, you have no problem Symptoms that you’re told to go to the ER for, aren’t followed up by neurology or staff. That’s abandonment, even by their own standards. I could write a tell all, and might. There’s also no real pain management, but there are non FDA approved spinal injections and pain psychologists, lol. Yes, they really think that’s a real thing. Oh boy lol. Doctor Alonso listened carefully, read paperwork and logs I provided, and was kind and knowledgeable. Assessment was thorough, complete and done with utmost care This was the least dismissive neurology visit I have had.
I've been referred to IU Neurology for testing. I called several times just to schedule an appointment. First time I was told I had to wait for a letter in the mail. 3 wks later no letter so I call again. I was transferred to leave a message specifically tells u not 48 hrs for call back, but 48 business hrs. That was in November. No return call or letter. I called today and again told on call back list which could take up 48 business hrs to 3wks. It's almost March, HOW MANY BUSINESS HRS is that? If it's that hard to schedule... read more
