Food was amazing, service was a bit slow took a while before we even got a drink and I had to go get my own silverware. But if ever back in that area will for sure eat there again.
We stopped for a late lunch last week on our return trip to Florida. It has been a must stop for us whenever we traveled the Delmarva peninsula. My clam fritters were greasy and overcooked as were the onion rings my husband ordered. Prices have risen. Menu has changed. Food was mediocre. The only good part was a wonderful, friendly waitress. I am sorry this has left my "must do" list.
My husband and I hosted a rehearsal dinner for our son and his bride at the Island House on Friday, July 22. Not only was the food some of the best we've ever had but our servers were excellent! Great local seafood. Excellent service and beautiful views from the Terrace.
We just had the longest lunch ever. Three adults and three children. Crab dip app and cocktails were served quickly and were good. But entrees took 90 minutes!!! My eggs Benedict had hard boiled eggs on top and had to be sent back. Child's clam strips so over cooked it was unbelievable. Caesar salad soaked with dressing. Chicken sandwich soggy on bottom and over cooked on top. Some of the food clearly sat under the lights for a very long time. I asked the waitress to speak to the manager. We will never ever go back.
Great food, great service, great atmosphere. Love that the owner always makes time to stop by our table to say hello and make sure that we are happy. Highly recommended!!

My wife and I had dinner yesterday evening and absolutely enjoyed the food. Our server on the other hand must've forgot about us. When she took our salad plates, both my wife and I needed a refill on our beverages. Out came our entrees (delicious by the way) and still no beverages. Finished the entrees entirely...still no water. We must've looked parched because another server came to our table and kindly refilled our waters. Definitely be going back because the food was amazing, I'll just ask for a different server.
