Great food, fast service & beautiful view! Always consistent. The sweet potato biscuits are fabulous!
I had a bowl of their rock fish soup and it was superb. We will absolutely be going back in the future.
For me the Island House continues to disappoint. I give it three stars because of its water view. The food however falls short. I will wait a few months and try again. I wish them the best.
Love the fried oysters, sweet potato biscuits, and especially the outstanding chocolate bread pudding...of course the views are tranquil and delightful. A true treat.
After a leisurely Corvette ride up the back route 600 the Island House was the perfect stop for lunch. Service was better than excellent and so was the food, especially the house made cole slaw that accompanied my Drum wrap and a dozen salty half shell oysters. We will be back. A perfect day trip from Norfolk for some fine marina food.

Had a wonderful dinner tonight, so good that I saved part of it for my lunch at school tomorrow. When we arrived home I realized that we had left the carry out on our table. This was about 20 minutes after we had left, I called them to let them know that I was coming back to pick it up and they told me it had already been thrown away. So disappointed! Maybe you should wait at least 30-40 minutes before you throw away someone's food.Just a suggestion! I did made a reservation, and gave you my cell number....
We were treated as if 'a family member' came for a visit ! Loved the place ! Fabulous folks and food
