I am very disappointed with my overall experience at island foot clinic. Would not recommend. Came to get treated for toe nail fungus 3 years ago. I still have it. I payed for everything they recommended to get rid of it: Shoe lazer santizer $230 2 pairs of custom orthotics $1200 7 bottles of clear nails pro $630 6 lazer toe nail treatments $900 I payed for all of this out of pocket as I have no insurance that covers foot treatment. I got a referral from my doctor so I went here and got some orthotics,when I got fitted I was surprised there was no padding in a certain area but wat do I know .after a couple of months I realized that the shoes I added my own pad to were better than the orthotics.when I went back the doctor said the manufacturer had indeed not put the additional pad in.she said she would do and I could get when she was back in a month..as someone else stated in a review I was charged for another visit ,which was ridiculous but I paid becau... read more
The worst experience I’ve ever had in my life The first time I waited a half an hour after my appointment time then he measured my foot. I paid $750 for orthopaedic inserts which did not fix the issue called back. They told me I had to pay another visit fee to see them again, and then I was another 45 minutes after my appointment time for that visit I had to leave because I had another appointment Was a 15 minute appointment I still hadn’t seen after 15 minutes. Dr. Dowell is excellent. Our 12 year old daughter is a competitive gymnast and has a lot of foot pain issues. He is very patient in answering our questions and fully explaining to her what she should be focussing on to improve. I have foot issues myself and have been to different podiatrists over the years, and I find his manner of treating our daughter to be first rate. Highly recommend!
Charge $95 for a follow up after spending $800 for custom orthotics that had no effect. See a physiotherapist instead, it will be much more worth your money and time.
