We go every year since moving to Central Wisconsin 5 years ago. We celebrate our August birthdays. We got there 15 mins after it opened and had an hour wait. Brandy old fashion, shrimp cocktail to get us started at the bar. Every one professional and friendly. Sit and chat with fellow couples waiting. They come from all over. Always a pleasant evening. Such great food, drinks and amazing lake views. Our server was fantastic, so attentive to our needs !!
Magical memories past 40 years and another one made...arrived early to wait for window and sat in lovely and picturesque bar with well crafted cocktails...all staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive...Prawns were yummy as was the Blue Cheese Wedge Salad...very seldom do I have a dining experience where my standards were met...will be back in the fall.
Seldom does a supper club survive as many years as Ishnala and be just as good as I remembered as a child. This is a true supper club experience hidden off the beaten path on Mirror Lake in the Dells. We had a Big Chief before dinner and Brandy Old Fashion during and both were excellent. I chose the broiled prawns with a blue cheese wedge and baked potato. The prawns were something you don't see on supper club menus anymore, butterflied in the shell and served with drawn butter. Had such a great dinner!!! It took awhile to wait for out table but the food, cocktails and service were all excellent!
