⭐ 1 Star — Rushed, Dismissive, and Disappointing Experience I brought my son to Dr. Jafar Koupaie at Irvine Dermatology for a mole evaluation and a thorough skin check. The appointment lasted approximately five minutes, and several areas of his body were never examined. When I asked whether a full skin check was being performed, the doctor laughed and made a dismissive comment about my son not being old enough to have “crusty stuff.” I felt brushed off rather than taken seriously. I received your letter informing me that you’re dropping me as a patient because of a missed appointment. The interesting part is that I did try to cancel the appointment, but no one answered the phone. I kept getting routed to an answering service and was unable to reach anyone directly. Considering you were charging me $250 just to be seen, I’m not exactly heartbroken. I called around and found another provider much closer to my home who charges $135 for the same type of visit. I came in for acne treatment. Check-in and scheduling were easy, and the front desk staff were friendly. My main disappointment, though, was with the doctor. While he was pleasant, I didn't feel like my needs were fully heard or addressed. The check-ins and exams felt rushed, and his explanations were very brief, leaving me with more questions than answers.
