I am deeply disappointed with the UCLA Menopause Specialist department. After being referred by my gynecologist months ago, I have been waiting over three months just to receive a phone call to schedule an appointment. When I followed up with my referring doctor, I was told UCLA is simply "backed up" and has no availability. Meanwhile, I am struggling daily with severe symptoms. I have called them for an appointment since 2/4/2026 and to date they have failed to call me. Each time I am told they have escalared the call to a manager. Utter BS. Clearly they are extremely disoeganized and unresponsive. Does not bode well.

I love my doctor, but UCLA's billing department is actually deplorable. I have a PPO that covers UCLA, and was charged $350+ in addition to the $1800 that my insurance already paid for my ANNUAL CHECKUP at the clinic. The additional charges, you ask? A $300 facility fee for seeing my doctor at the clinic office inside the hospital and fraudulently being charged for two $160 "behavioral assessments" under code 96127 -- apparently this is for a literal questionnaire, except I only did one. Love the facilities and my new primary care physician. All of the staff I encountered was polite. They have sanitizer at every entrance and someone checking temperatures to help prevent the spread of Covid.
