I've had now two serious medical condition experiences there and both times they have shown no sense of urgency. I need open heart surgery and they say it'll take maybe 72 hrs just to get a referral for the heart surgeon consult yet Tricare told me on the phone that they could call them and get it approved over the phone . Thanks Ireland for nothing.
It is a shame that we - the active duty, retirees and family members will now be forced to go off post for our medical treatment. I wonder if the DOD account people realise it will cost three times as much for the treatments off post as it does now on post. Case in point -my walker used when I had knee replacement surgery cost trice 150.00, you can buy them all day for 50.00 in walmart.
Parking way too far from the front door. VA doctors and nurses (VA clinic) we wonderful.
Why do they give you an appt at BMH at noon, tell you to be there 15 minutes before, and then show up to get you at 12:15? They know we have anger issues. Are they TRYING to piss us off?
Great people. They are really good about keeping appointments on time. I take an elderly man for his primary appointments there
One of the best military hospitals. Small and caring. They took great care of me, but their food sucked.
