Irazu is Chicago's first and only Costa Rican restaurant and we've been perfecting our style for the past 27 years. We've been a mainstay in the heart of Bucktown, just steps from the O'Hare Blue Line (Western station) and "The 606". Come visit us for a quick bite or a rustic sit-down meal with friends and family - your stomach and your party (and your wallet) will thank you! Pura Vida!

I'm a Costa Rican living in Elmhurst and Irazu is my goto place when I'm craving home. The food is amazing and Herry and the entire staff are great, demaciado pura vidas todos.
The Irazu is boss. The food and the people are lovely.

Literally amazing in every way - staff, food, atmosphere! Yas!!!!
Henry and the staff at Irazu Restaurant are great. We catered the delicious Costa Rican food for my son's rehearsal dinner. Everyone loved it! Recommend it!!!
A great place to eat! Oatmeal milkshake and a pepito sandwich are two of my favorite items!!!
No es la auténtica comida tica, no venden nuestras cervezas y las personas que atienden son muy poco amables, además no aceptan tarjetas, no volvería
Absolutely wonderful! The food was fantastic, service was perfect and the restaurant was a great atmosphere. Hubby of 21 years is a Tico and was excited to find this restaurant and was amazed with the quality and nostalgia of the food. Owner Henry was a pleasure to chat with. Plantains were soft & sweet and the yucca was fried perfectly....not too hard or too soft. The horchata w/... read more
