Irazu is Chicago's first and only Costa Rican restaurant and we've been perfecting our style for the past 27 years. We've been a mainstay in the heart of Bucktown, just steps from the O'Hare Blue Line (Western station) and "The 606". Deliciously authentic Costa Rican food!! Are you familiar with Costa Rican cuisine? If so, Irazu will have everything you would want. If you're unfamiliar, I highly recommend trying them! Their dishes are so good, healthy, and flavorful, all with what seem like fresh ingredients.On top of that, they're an amazing neighborhood presence. I'm lucky to live so close!
The food is awesome. The milkshakes are my favorite in the entire city! They have breakfast, lunch, and dinner options—all delightfully delicious. There’s something for everyone, with very veg friendly options. The service is friendly and quick. The space, through all updates, has remained open with a lot of natural light shining in. My husband was born in Costa Rica and often misses the food. Unfortunately we don’t have any Costa Rican places in Ohio so whenever we’re in Chicago, it’s a must. Great food and awesome people. Pura vida!
Horrible attention. We waited almost an hour for our food to come out and other people that got here after us got their food before us and left before us. I believe our waiter forgot to put in our order. Food was also bad, got chifrijo and it was very salty.
1st timer here , killer food for a reasonable cost. I'll be back
