In 2021 Dr. Avramis did surgery on me to correct scoliosis. Then I was involved in a couple of wrecks which broke the hardware in my back. In February of 2025 Dr. Avramis did a second surgery to fix the hardware! It was a HUGE success as was the first one! I had lost 4 inches in height from the scoliosis and I got back ALL four inches! I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Avramis and his staff! He also fixed a friends neck when no other surgeon could! And it was a huge success as well!
This doctor never ever seen me or reviewed my MRI but refused to see me based on a few questions. His nurse call and said I did not fit his criteria for a patient and I needed to lose weight and see a pain management doctor. I don’t think you can make a decision on basis of a patient’s weight .
Two years post op and I am in remarkable condition. After multiple incomplete and lackluster attempts at spinal surgery by 'skilled' and 'reputable' surgeons in West Texas, I was living in constant and severe pain and shuffling and attempting to walk with a cane and at an approximate 90 degree stoop. Local doctors would not continue, stating that the condition was too extreme, very dangerous and not within their area of expertise.
