I've never written a bad review. Ever. Worse customer service experience. Front desk offered no assistance after booking us for the wrong day leaving us with no appointments for a special occasion date between girlfriends. "Manager" Regina told me she did not know what she could do to assist me (instead of suggesting gift certificate, discount, offer to rebook, apology for rude staff...) and looked forward to my yelp review and hung up on me after telling me I was the one who was rude to her staff. It looks like my review was removed so I’m posting it again. I’ve had two terrible experiences and two great experiences. After I reported the first bad one IO called me and asked me to return. I did and had a great message and booked another. Then I had another terrible massage despite repeated requests to massage instead of holding down pressure points. I had the most "ahhhsome" massage this week with new-to-IO masseur, Xavier! I came in with shoulder pain and left feeling relaxed and pampered and with increased mobility and a lot less pain in my shoulder! And IO is such a lovely and relaxing place to spend the afternoon! I'm thinking a few more sessions with Xavier will be the perfect gift to myself (and therapeutic de-stresser) over the holidays!

While in Switzerland last year, I was introduced to one of the worlds top Spa consultants and over an interesting exchange, he offered me several insider tips on city spas around the globe. International Orange Marin and International Orange Fillmore are my two favorite spas in the Bay Area, hands down! The Marin location is a true oasis, with high ceilings, and a beautiful lounging area that opens up onto an outdoor patio. If you have the opportunity to take the ferry over, straight into Larkspur Landing, it feels like a real mini-vacation! Love IO Marin. It's calm, clean, relaxing, and the service is so great. They have a sunny outdoor seating area, which is always a nice treat coming from the chilly city.

IO Marin is the best spa hands down!! Not only are the facilities so beautiful and relaxing, but the masssages, facials and waxing services are top-notch. I highly recommend the enzyme facial and deep tissue massage. For future brides, like myself, this is the best place to treat yourself to some pre-wedding pampering!!
