Screwed from day one. 3/4 acre lot and house was built right on top of neighbor.. once foundation was poured it couldn't be corrected also asked to hold off construction until spring as we were still selling our home. They started construction as soon as we signed the contract. This was just the beginning of the nightmare.
Insight homes should be rated as a negative 10 STARS. Do not waste your time or money on an Insight Home. I moved in on December 22, 2020. I have major problems that they are not responding too. The grading of the house causes water to gather under my foundation. I have water seeping up through a 1/4" crack in my garage. My HVAC system is not working. Warning Insight Customers If you have any mold in your bathroom shower make sure you have Insight come and take a look so it’s on record because they only give a one-year warranty. Anything that happens after that they don’t want to know about it. Because I had mold in my bathroom constantly and no matter what I did or how much I scrubbed it was back within two or three days. I had the shower replaced and it was improper installation that caused the problem. Insights response was “It’s past the 1 year and questioned if we ... read more

As far as insight homes. Been here for 20 months. Over all not bad. As long as you can live with the sloppy finish work. We have crooked walls and patch work and seams in the ceiling that are very noticeable. Shower door and bathroom counter top done poorly. A few things on the outside not finished. I guess they build these houses like a puzzle. Unfortunately it's like to many cooks in the kitchen. Even my attic was done sloppy. Nails sticking out and boards undone.
We have been in our house for a 6 weeks and are enjoying it. There have been some minor issues that have been taken care of and a few to be resolved. Over all, the process of building a new house with insight has been a positive one. There are lots of trades and people involved in building a house and it’s not like anything else you buy.
