I was excited about starting here as my free consultation went well. Then when it went to having my intake appointment my provider was a no show. I called the office and even emailed them and no one got back to me until 24 hours later. The person who scheduled the appointment was apologetic. I scheduled a new intake appointment and the provider was late and I felt like she did not really care and seemed distracted and dismissive. Dr Joan Brown has helped and guided me through the most difficult time of my life, The passing of my mother. I grief, counseling sessions, have rooted and grounded me when I felt like my world was going upside down. Calm spirit and nature is exactly what I needed.

From the very beginning of starting sessions it felt like the therapist did not believe in us as a couple. She would frequently stop the sessions and say “relationships shouldn’t be this hard” and it was interpreted to us as we shouldn’t be together or we aren’t compatible or this won’t work out. She said to one of us individually “between me and you she will never forgive you.” This was an unethical statement as she is making a judgement to only one person when the sessions were for a couple.
