In 1884 Nathaniel Palmer built his unique, Greek-Revival home overlooking Crystal Lake and Eaton's Little White Church. Nathaniel ran his home, known as The Palmer House, as a small hotel taking in some of the many visitors that came to spend time enjoying the mountains and lakes. After Nathaniel's death in 1899, his wife, Mary, continued to take in guests and their son, Frank, continued this until the 1940's. Six of us had dinner in the Pub on Sun, 1/19/20, and it was fantastic! Great food, great prices, great service and the Pub was funky and very comfortable, while the Dining room appeared to be more traditional and warm and friendly. It's a beautiful building in a charming location! We will be back.

This is fine dining at its best! The owners the staff and the food are excellent! You are proud to bring your family , your friends because you are never disappointed! It’s this good and comfortable. You can dress fancy, wear jeans and a tee shirt , it’s all good. The important thing is you are there and Tim will make you a great drink. I recommend, highly.
The Inn was decorated so nice. The atmosphere was very warm and welcoming. We stayed in the Moroccan room which was spacious enough for the two of us. The breakfast was delish & so was their coffee. I can’t say enough good things about our stay..we’ll definitely stay here again when we come up to NH.
Our hosts were so friendly and helpful. We felt so at home in the common areas. We particularly enjoyed sitting in “the nook” each evening playing cards and enjoying the music selection Tim had playing!

Working in the North Country, it is such a pleasure to discover a charming inn that we can drive to for an overnight getaway.
