I'm past the point of frustration with IU Health billing department. I have made several calls and after 4 months still can't get my billing issues resolved. I have spoken to multiple people and they tell me they have sent my bill through medicaid and then can't find the bill or can see it wasn't sent. IU Health's payment system is comically bad. I can never pay my kids' bills either online or via the automated phone system. Every time I need to pay a bill, I need to talk to a human and spend 15-30 minutes making the payment that in other contexts (and in IU Health's previous system, where you could put in a bill/account # and pay, no questions asked) takes 1 minute. Check your itemized statements. They added $6,960 to my bill under "Generic Contractual Adj Code" I called and asked what it was and they removed it without explanation. No idea if it was just a human error or what. They would not say.
Still getting 'adjusted bills' for 2024 visit. Whenever I try to argue with the additional bills they ignore my messages or refer me to a call center. The call center just says the issue is fixed, but then later I receive another bill adjustment...
