If you're going to see this doctor I highly recommend fact checking everything he says. Google scholar is a great resource. The research on TMJ is minimal, which is why the TMJ Association (TMJA) states there is "no medical or dental speciality of qualified experts trained in the care and treatment of TMD." Dr Roberts diagnosed me with trigeminal neuralgia and prescribed gabapentin and wearing mouth appliances 24/7. Aside from it not working as quickly as he said, after four and a half months I became pain free. He is the first doctor to do that and I am very grateful for him.

I have had chronic lower back pain induced by my sacroiliac joint for over 12 years. I was giving every narcotic in the book but never got any relief.
