Meet the Business Owner Melody W. Business Owner Melody Wolfertz returned to her home town of Rockland in 2000 after thirteen years of chef and restaurant management experience. While managing the Wine Seller, she saw the need for a place where people could go to drink good wine in a relaxed environment. In Good Company opened in July of 2004, inspired by this wish. RecommendedLast night we ordered the Italian dinner that was designed to go with watching the movie "Big Night". The movie was about two brothers running their own Italian Restaurant, so it was very food-centric. Not only was the IGC food amazingly delicious, it was so similar to the food in the movie that we were just blown away by the level of detail and thoughtfulness of the menu design. Definitely one of my favorite restaurants!
We’ve waited weeks to treat ourselves to a nice take out dinner, and it was worth the wait. The bacon wrapped dates, meatloaf, and pork short ribs were really fantastic. Thank you to your staff for all the hard work!

There are so many great places to eat in midcoast Maine, but this is one of the premier offerings--excellent food, excellent wine pairings all served up in an unhurried atmosphere designed to maximize the dining experience. If you haven't been here, you need to go!
