History Established in 2014. ImJai Thai first opened for business in December 2014, We are a small neighborhood restaurant situated in the Belmont neighborhood in SE Portland. After decades of experience as head chef, chef, and cook, at Thai restaurants starting in Los Angeles to Portland. The two sisters, Jai and Ead, finally decided to start their own story. My first impression when walking in the door was it must not be any good because there’s no Asian customers. Well, was I wrong! It’s the first time in a long time that we cleaned up all our plates. Definitely coming back!
This little gem is four blocks from my house. I want to shout it out and I want to keep it a secret. I love the pumpkin curry, fried rice, pad thai noodles, orange chicken... and $5 Pinot Gris. But, shhhh... it's a secret.
We are truly blessed to have such an outstanding eatery so close to home.
Stopped by here last weekend. Very cute little place. Great customer service and great food!
Do not EVER add anything to your meal, it's a rip off! Otherwise I really like this place but $3 to add mushrooms to a curry is totally ridiculous.
Had lunch there yesterday! Wow! So good! The food is fresh and very flavorful.
