History Established in 2014. ImJai Thai first opened for business in December 2014, We are a small neighborhood restaurant situated in the Belmont neighborhood in SE Portland. After decades of experience as head chef, chef, and cook, at Thai restaurants starting in Los Angeles to Portland. The two sisters, Jai and Ead, finally decided to start their own story. RecommendedThe best Thai food in Portland! <3 I have tried countless other restaurants in Portland in search of a good Thai curry and Imjai's panang curry is the only curry that I will eat. The balance of sweet, savory, coconut cream, herbs & spices is spot on, and it lacks the signature fishy taste that all other Thai curries in town have. The fried vegetable spring Thai rolls are also amazing- stuffed with veggies and perfectly seasoned and fried.

Ordered through postmates, and got this note in my order. It is not legal to charge my card without my consent. When I called to ask why, the woman that answered the phone explained that it didn’t benefit them to take 3rd party orders, and blamed it on “clients like me” who like their food. Continued to talk over me and be rude. Will not recommend to anyone as I find this to be shady business practices.
Flavor excellent & cooked perfectly. Portion decent, though there was only 5 or 6 small pieces of tofu in my dish.
The foods are authentic and savory. The way they make each dish is so attentive to details with a touch of sophistication. Highly recommend
Good is absolutely amazing!
There are varieties of special menu that some place where they don’t have it. I love sweet Thai dessert and noodle soup here:)
