Stingrays, dinosaurs, and faux hurricanes can all be found at the Imaginarium Science Center, which soaks spongy young brains in knowledge via hands-on exhibits and 3-D movies about the natural world. Families can observe moray eels and other marine life in the Window to the Sea aquarium, or reach out to gentle stingrays in an open tank. Several daily shows with live animals compete for attention with a dino dig where patrons learn how archeologists excavate fossilized bones using nothing but the power of their minds. Had a great day with my kids! We spent the whole day and they never got bored. We just kept moving from one exhibit to the next and back again! Packed a lunch and enjoyed a picnic lunch.
Business response:
We are so happy to hear that you enjoyed your visit! Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review.
I brought my kids about six years ago and went again yesterday. We enjoyed the 3D movie and animal encounter as well as the hands on exhibits. There were many new exhibits and look forward to the new ones they explained will be coming soon. The one thing I missed was the lunch area they used to have. We didn’t care for the vending machine lunch option and look forward to a new and improved cafeteria type type experience ( my suggestion. )
Business response:
We loved having an onsite cafe & hope to have one again. We are exploring our options, but until we have a reliable & dependable year-round cafe partner, we are bridging the gap with a vending cafe. If you know of any vendors that would be interested, please have them contact us at info@theIMAG.org. Our long-term plans include a larger & more accessible cafe, pre-admission, but that will require a build-out. Stay tuned & thanks for coming!

Fun little place for kids. My son is 8 and he’s still able to enjoy the place. We live in Naples and we would’ve enjoyed more the C’mon Childrens Museum but we want to go somewhere else so we decided to go to Ft. Myers. The staff were very nice. Overall, it’s a fun place to spend with kids.

I would not recommend this place. For some strange reason the touch tank and virtual reality are only open a few minutes every few hours. The 3D theater no longer works for 3D, and no one bothers to tell the customers. Many of the outdated attractions are malfunctioning. The animal show had one exotic animal followed by a turtle and a snake.
Business response:
We regret to learn that you did not enjoy your visit, Mr. Donckers. We strive to ensure that all visitors have an enjoyable experience at IMAG. The SEA to SEE Touch Tank and VR Lab are opened every hour for a minimum of 15 minutes and if necessary are opened longer to accommodate all those waiting to participate (today this was as long as 45 minutes during peak hours). We have been experiencing technical difficulties with our 3D theater and as such we have informed visitors upon check-in at the front desk and posted a sign. ... read more
