As an Aussie looking for breakfast in Honolulu this place looks pretty good. The espresso coffee is reasonable and the menu has lighter options than many of the other places where breakfast can be overwhelming. The problem is the finished product. Our breakfasts were cold. On a good day, it could be a great breakfast. I'm going to be generous and just assume I was there on a bad day.
Travel to Honolulu one week for holidays, and three days went to eat there, the food its amazing. The bolognese sauce its just perfect, but the highlight of the Restaurant its the Hot Chocolate Cake, it's just perfect, one of the best desserts I have ever tried in my life. Greetings from Chile! Very excellent restaurant. I have been at least a dozen times in the past three years and always amazed and completely satisfied with the food and the service. I recommend this place to everyone. While reading some of the reviews that are not so favorable all I can say is speak up and I am sure their excellent chefs and service staff will accommodate your needs and desires.
Made reservation a week in advance and was seated at the bar. Was treating a friend for his Birthday and thought this was a classy place. Didn't question till later when noticed no one was in the main dining room. It was still empty when we asked our waiter why we were at the bar. Was like they didn't have the reservation. The managed to prepare my gluten free, corn and rice pasta 'al dente" for the bolognese sauce -- with a stipendous meat ball. The wine was a fabulous bottle, a decentiendes whcih I thought was going to be a 2007, but ended up being a spry 2009 vintage-- all and all, fabulous dinner in the middle of the tourist stew pot.. in expected happiness.
Had dinner there, two of the last 3 Christmas Eves after Mass, inside a few years back, loud, but expected, last time in the garden, great ambience, service and meal, no rush, will do it again on next visit.
