Years ago I read an online review recommending IL Lucano over another place nearby. The food is so good here that we still haven't ever tried the other place!
Simply the best Italian food in Gig Harbor, if not the state of Washington. We keep going back for the carbonara because it's so darn good; no need for Parmesan or pepper, it is perfect as it is served.

In an unassuming block in Gig Harbor. But open the doors and head in! Like a small restaurant in Italy!! The owner came over and greeted our table. The food was fresh, very flavorful and plated beautifully! Service was excellent and friendly. I've got to go back!!
Last evening was my first visit to Il Lucano Ristorante Italiano, but I will be eating here as often as I can from now on. The food was amazing! The menu is extensive,and it was difficult to decide what to order. I chose a baked penne with an amazing plum tomato sauce with Italian sausage. Dessert was a limoncello marscapone cake. The service was excellent, and the ambiance was perfect. I recommend this establishment highly. Make reservations and have a wonderful meal soon.

If looking for great Italian cuisine then this place is it. We had an excellent experience and food was delish!!! We will definitely be back!!
