Il Lucano is a hidden gem in Gig Harbor with amazing food and hospitality to match. It's becoming our go to for special occasions. Last night we arrived for a birthday dinner to find the restaurant packed and without a reservation, we thought we were going to be turned away. The hostess went in the back and came back to offer the chefs table! A fun experience with once again....amazing food and hospitality!

Best Italian food 🥘 I have had in a long time Our son and daughter in law found this place and wanted us to go with them for New Year's Eve too dinner veal Parm was great and the coffee ☕️ man it was outstanding hope the kitchen enjoyed the bottle of wine 🍷 I sent too them for a great evening
I'd be willing to rate it the best Italian restaurant in the area. Well worth the trip across the bridge! Quality and service exceptional even for an absolutely packed New Years Eve. Table had calamari appetizer, eggplant parmigiana, pork chops, lamb shank, and I had the seafood pasta (pescatore). To die for! Pricing reasonable.
good, alert service. mediocre food. soupiest puttanesca sauce i've ever encountered. frozen meatballs were not cooked properly. nice looking interiors though with italian music playing
We were a little disappointed with the food on Christmas Eve. The Caesar salad was so lightly dressed you couldn't tell it had dressing. The veal involtini was on the chewy side. They changed their technique in cooking the salmon piccata and it was a tad overlooked. Less linguine than usual. We haven't been here for several months and don't know whether this was an off night or whether the restaurant has gone downhill.
Love, love, love this place!! The food! The atmosphere! This place makes me feel like I'm at home and I'm not not even Italian. ❤
