We flew in from Massachusetts to visit our son.. tonight we were able to get seats without reservations thanks to the very accommodating staff during dinner time and we had the best meal we have had yet in Washington. The gnocchi was FABULOUS. We will be back in Washington and we will return to Il Lucano �

If you want authentic Italian food with superb customer service, Il Lucano in Gig Harbor should be at the top of your list! The food was delightful and the tiramisu was some of the best we've ever had. Already making plans to go back!
Love this restaurant! Great ambiance, delicious food and excellent service! We went for Valentine's Day dinner last night and the owner (presumed) made everyone feel welcomed like family and even sang beautifully in Italian. We felt like we were in Italy. We've been twice and had great meals and experiences both times!
Very real Italian feel to the place, complete with the greeter who took the time to come around to make sure we were getting great service, the food was very good I had the Penne lucano with pepperoni and Italian sausage with marinara it's was more than I could eat.There was fresh bread at the table with olive oil seasoned with herbs. my girlfriend had the manicotti which was also very good, we will be coming back to try the pizza soon. There were 7 of us for my mom's 78th birthday and we spent nearly $300.00. Reservations were at 5:30, they sat 5 of us at 5:15 and wanted us to order right away even though the rest of our party was not there for another 15 minutes. Once we finished and paid, I heard the owner ask our server when we were leaving. She said we were paid up. He then came and hovered around our table making us feel very uncomfortable.
