Doors were supposed to open at 5pm. They didn't open until well after six. Lots of older people were standing in line in 90 degree weather. No explanation as to what was going on. 10 minutes before doors opened we were told to have ID's and tickets in hand. I find this unacceptable. No water was offered and no apologies. I will never attend another event at this venue.
The VIP part of The Outsiders Fundraisers was a rip-off and poorly managed. My first and last trip to the IDL Ballroom.
While there were glitches, (none of which were the fault of IDL) we thoroughly enjoyed the Outsiders House Benefit. The venue and staff were awesome!
Tom Green and IDL Ballroom provided a fabulous location for us to hold our event and they also provided top notch service!! If you have experienced anything other than that at this location, you might want to make sure you know who was in charge of the event, services, etc. and not blame the venue!!! Can't wait for Streets Gone Wild in September!!
The Outsiders Fundraiser was one of the worst poorly planned events I have ever attended. VIP tickets were a rip off. I will never use this facility for event planning. It was our first time ever going to IDL Ballroom and probably our last. There is no excuse to have people waiting in line in 90 degree weather for over an hour to get in. Computers having issues is not as important as people's lives. Someone could have came out and apologized to the crowd and offered water. Ridiculous!!!!
