History: Our family's Sussex County agricultural heritage dates back to 1910, when Jacob Tanis Sr. bought his first Sussex County Farm. Having immigrated from Holland in the 1890's, the Tanis family initially settled in Paterson, NJ. Young Jacob got into the dairy business by selling extra milk from the family cow. He began looking for land and came to Sussex County. It wasn't long before the Tanis family established one of the world record dairyherds. Always a favorite Great great time every time
I had a wonderful day at Ideal Farms. Everyone is so friendly. They keep it very clean and they have so many things to look at and purchase. The Hay Ride was great and so were the Pumpkin Patches. All of the kids had a wonderful time. I would recommend Ideal Farms any time of the year.
We love it all. Feeding the animals... The maze.... And the hayride. We have made Ideal Farms a family tradition for 32 years. Now our children are continuing the tradition with their children.

Very fun and family oriented everyone was extremely nice. the animals were amazing to look at and feed we had A-blast and their Apple cider doughnuts you must try best I've ever had Thanks guys for Everything you do especially this crazy time
We loved the hayride and the haunted tunnel. The grandkids had the best time.
We loved the hayride, the kids enjoyed the hay stack play area. The stuffed jalapeño poppers and the apple cider donuts were so good.
clean grounds, family friendly, great staff, awesome deserts and produce. The doughnuts are AMAZING!!!
