Read the reviews. Amy Boone Thompson owns and runs this as a scam certification agency. Peter and Kathie Davis are no longer in the picture. Memberships are auto-renewal only - it's intentionally made difficult to cancel - they call it a "subscription". Many many years ago, this was actually a legitimate business. No longer. If you must have a certification, get something like NSCA.
If you're a health and fitness professional, your certification agency may require to stay current with health and fitness trends. I'm certified by the NSCA. If you're looking to score some CEC points, don't bother with IDEA Health & Fitness Association. You may enroll for a Black Friday deal, that's what I did. Biggest scam ever! I paid money for a certification that I have no access to. At first they said they were upgrading their website- that went on for several months and now it’s “upgraded” but my certification isn’t a part of it. Don’t waste your time or money with IDEA!
