As I’m unable to reply to the response on my previous review, I would like to clarify that my complaint was NOT about a practitioner running late. It was specifically about the unfriendly and dismissive manner in which my reasonable question was handled by a short hair blonde receptionist. I simply asked whether they could provide a rough indication of how long the wait might be, or whether the appointment was likely to take approximately 30 or 60 minutes. Had a terrible experience here taking my two-year-old daughter to get her eyes checked. I have a 6 month old baby as well. I kindly asked if they are on time or running late so I could mentally prepare my 2 year old. The loader lady at the front desk with short blonde hair, from the moment I walked in she was unpleasant and not accomodating at all. Customer service and kindness is absolutely lacking. Ian has been optometrist for my family for 20+ years. He is professional, informative and provides helpful advice. Plus I always enjoy the wide ranging conversation we share during my appointment. The practice as a whole is helpful and reliable and I appreciate their ethos of supporting/buying local.
Thorough eye check with Ian Emslie, upgraded reading glasses needed. Told staff as pensioner, could only pay for cheap/est. Was guided to designer less than half price specs. Got the BEST pair of glasses I've ever had. Best fit, most comfortable.
