If I could give ten stars to Dr. Carroll, I would! I began my conversation with him somewhat apologetically, sheepishly explaining the odd constellation of symptoms I have been experiencing for months. Dr. Carroll listened patiently and attentively - a long time - before asking some key questions that led to a clear diagnosis. We feel immensely grateful for Dr. Carroll's pursuit of and breadth of knowledge as well as his dedication, professionalism, friendliness, and good humor. We also extend our appreciation to all the staff who caringly work to make it all happen.
I have been a patient of Dr. Carroll for 7-8 years. I was first treated by him at the pain clinic after a severe ski accident, and more recently for a csf leak and headaches. I've always said that I would choose the smartest person over the more compassionate or nicest guy, the thing with Dr. Carroll is you don't have to compromise : not only do you get the brilliance (my first pain specialist referred me to him saying he was the smartest person he knew), and willingness to think outside the box because he is so knowledgeabl... read more
I have no idea about Dr Carroll. I have been back and forth with his office. I have sent me referral 4 times and on Thursday they said they got it and would call me back in 48 hours. I called today as it's Tuesday and they don't have my referral. I had the doctors office who sent the referral call them to get it figured out and then they called me back and said woooooooow are they're unorganized. You're a neurological center at Stanford and your office runs like this......pathetic if you ask me.
