Dr. Villanueva completed an appendectomy and hernia repair surgery on me. Prior to the surgery, he talked me through the steps, explained what he would do, and answered all the question myself and my wife had about post-surgical care and limitations. He was very personable and provided me with very real-world guidance. His notes about the exam were helpful for me to read through and overall this was a great surgical experience. The entire care team was great.
Dr is pompous, curt, and arrogant. Definitely has a worst case scenario outlook. Would not recommend. Also his PAs are arrogant and hurtful.
Had a great experience with Dr Villanueva and the staff off Wake Med Surgery for my hernia surgery. Excellent bedside manners. Listens carefully and encourages questions and give clear answers.
Just did my hernia surgery, and everything went perfect.
Dr. Villanueva was very accommodating and the first doctor who actually listened to my problems. Without him I’d still be living in pain. He has excellent bedside manner and explains everything in great detail.
Thank you so much for removing Michael Cox’s gallbladder that was a very tricky & puzzling case. You were very helpful & expained everything perfectly. I’m very glad that you took excellent care of my Dad! Thank you again for everything & saving my Dads life!
