I purchased a Hyundai Tucson at Mirak with a Platinum warranty which the salesman promised would cover the Powertrain. My wife broke down on the highway due to engine failure with our Tucson with 53,000 miles and the Mirak Service Dept. says the it's not covered and says I need to pay $1250. for repairs. Before I paid the bill for the engine repairs I visited the Mirak Showroom to see a salesman and inquire on the purchase of a Hyundai auto with a Platinum Warranty. I found my door handle cover on the ground one morning (the cover you pop off if you have to open the door manually to expose the keyhole) of my second-hand 23 genesis g70 with 18k miles. A plastic latch inside the cover seemed to have broken off. A search on reddit showed that it’s not an uncommon issue but genesis dealers are inconsistent with replacing it with the warranty.
