I had high expectations and they were met. Couldn't be more happy with my purchase.
The best damn Mid ever. HMG's Mid doesn't weigh a thing, looks lie tissue paper but is extremely rugged. On a recent Alaska trip it stood up to days of high wind on the North Fork Glacier. For moving camps in the mountains, the mid is usually one of the first things to get left behind, relegated to base camp, but at something like 1 1/4 lb and supported by a couple of ski poles the thing is totally worth bringing. Ultra light weight packs that are build like tanks! Material is close to rip proof and super waterproof :) Well worth a little extra money.
4400 Windrider. Durable and light, very straightforward and easy to use, no googaws and doohickeys hanging everywhere. I put it right to use, picked it up at the post office, opened the box, unwrapped the pack and dropped my daypack right inside and slung it over my shoulder. I was on my way. Thx guys!
