Hyperlite mountain gear has some of the best gear I've ever used. I took a pack 700 miles on the PCT, handled like a dream. Cuben fiber is water proof and weighs almost nothing. After the trip I had several minor tears, but when I took it to their headquarters they gave me gave me and installed heavy duty patches for free. I also used a HMG tarp for my PCT trip and I had no problems. The Hyperlite Mountain Gear Dyneema duffel bag is simply the best expedition duffel on the market. It tough, lightweight & waterproof, making it the perfect bag for travel and sled hauling. THE duffel for Denali or Vinson!
The better you pack your gear inside a HMG pack, the better they carry. I removed the metal stays and rely on some good backpack Tetris skills to give the pack structure that helps distribute weight to my hips. The craftsmanship of HMG products is excellent. The cuben fiber fabric isn't as durable heavier materials like cordura, but that's a sacrifice I'm willing to make in exchange for cf's light weight and waterproofness.
