The owner of Hyde Boats is a self centered, self righteous, cocky and arrogant individual! Now, that in and of itself is bad enough, but compound the lack of integrity that he has and it makes it even worse. My limited interactions with him have been nothing but negative and he has straight up lied to me multiple times. Walked into the fly shop yesterday at Hyde. Whoever the guy in there was is an absolute pessimist and negative person. Told my girlfriend and I we would end up in an obituary because we wanted to float a certain section of river. We did it anyways, some of the easiest water I’ve floated in my life! This guy should never give advice on fishing or floating to anybody! And not to mention their fly shop selection is very sub par. Maybe stick to building boats..
Some time ago, my daughter, cousin and I took my 1996 16' Hyde boat (Scow II) down the Henry's Fork from Riverside campground. This was a harrowing adventure and that section is NOT ADVISED in a hard-side boat. Anyway, we banged the Scow II up on several breaches on rocks. It was leaking a bit and the folks at Hyde estimated the repair at $1,850 +tax and 30+ days. They finished it in about 10 days for $1,400. Many thanks and highly recommended!
Mr. Hyde sold me my first and only drift boat . A Fish-Rite 1992 . Brought it in to their shop. Not a Hyde Boat a Fish-Rite they took care of my needs. Great place to do business
Just stopped by to get some oars for my boat. I needed an odd size and they had it in stock and got me set right up! (Saved me about $500 in shipping) Cool to have a boat manufacturer like Hyde in the back yard! If you haven’t been in you should check it out!
