Hyatt Regency Westlake is a nice “regional” Hyatt Regency - not a global caliber one like the Hyatt regency Paris Madeleine but nice none the less very clean, lots of open space, a Starbucks inside, relatively fast service, clean rooms, nice (but not great) beds and pillows, ok water pressure in the shower, decent internet, a nice gym with relatively new equipment. Great stay! Was called in the morning to offer connecting rooms for my two reservations which was very beneficial. Was welcomed with a smile and was addressed by my tittle and Hyatt status was acknowledged. They offered to help with bags and also offered a late-checkout. The whole hotel was spotless and the room was very well equipped. My only complain is that the parking should be free for a property outside the city with plenty of parking space. Nice walkable location with lots of shade and trees.
Blackout curtains. Let's call them grey out. They are designed correctly and allow you to close them airtight, however the material they choose does not block sun.. 😎. Fail. Extra charge for parking? What? This isn't downtown NYC or San Francisco. This is the suburbs. Pulled up nobody to greet or take out bags, all good, prefer that. A great stay. The property was well kept and the staff was incredibly kind and accommodating. We loved the cozy pool area with its convenient QR code ordering for food and drinks. The hotel did an excellent job of managing its conference events, so we never felt crowded or overlooked. Self-park near the back entrance for car access while you're enjoying the pool. We will definitely be back!
